"For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day- and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." (2 Timothy 4:6-8)
Paul's words to Timothy summarize the value of living a life of faith in Jesus Christ that results in a promised crown when Jesus returns. The priority of living life by faith is seen when people we love transition from this life to the next to receive their crown and exchange the suffering of this life while the glory that is revealed by the Father, Son, and Spirit. That you to all the life-long service veterans of Christian warfare who have fought the life of faith and to the men and women who have served in the military for the freedom of life in the United States of America.
